Little Green Bucket members, here’s the announcement everyone’s been waiting for…
Our Spring 2026 Compost Giveback starts today!
Each spring, our Little Green Bucket pickup members are eligible for a FREE bag of finished compost, pulled from the same piles you helped create. We had to cancel our 2025 givebacks, due to operational challenges, and we’re so excited to bring back this beloved part of our service!
The first batch of compost from our new facility is still too hot for your gardens, so for this round we’re giving back a custom blend of third party composts, including some made off-site with your food waste. This finished compost is nutrient-rich, teeming with beneficial microbes, and ready to be added to your garden, raised beds, or houseplants.
If you’ve been with us a while, you’ll notice this year’s giveback looks a little different. Please read on for more info on how to receive your share.
How do I claim my share?
As a thank-you for your membership, you may order a cubic foot (about 30 lbs) of finished compost – but you do need to opt in each time. Please click the button below to log into your dashboard, then “purchase” it from the shop. Please finish checking out so we receive your order!
New this year, we have TWO options for receiving your compost:
- Pick it up for free from our yard in downtown Albuquerque. We’re open for pickup Tuesday-Friday from 9am-3pm. We also have a few Saturday time slots available in early May.
- Or, have it delivered to you for a $5 fee. This fee is waived for senior citizens and those with mobility impairments.
(We also offer free delivery for our wonderful investors. Thank you so much for supporting Full Sun Compost!)
Don’t need your share?
If you don’t want or need compost this year, you can instead choose to donate it. Select “Please donate my share” from the shop, and we’ll give it to a local school, charity, or non-profit.
Need more compost?
Come purchase it from our yard! We currently have Woodland Soil Builder compost in stock in both bulk quantities, by the bucket, and bagged. Check out our Full Sun Compost website for more info.
