We accept drop-offs of yard waste and tree trimmings from both commercial and residential sources. These materials are mixed with food waste to create our nutrient rich compost and other soil amendments.
Yard Waste Dropoff Rules
- Clean inputs only. No trash and no pet waste. Contaminated loads will be turned away.
- Arborists must provide clean wood chips. No mixed loads.
- No logs or root balls.
- No branches thicker than 3″.
- We are currently not accepting manure in general, but very small loads may be considered on a case by case basis.

Food Waste Collection
Little Green Bucket, our doorstep residential service, collects 4 gallon buckets of food waste from across the greater Albuquerque area. We also have a drop-off membership option for those who live or work near our Wells Park facility.
You don’t need to buy an electric car or install rooftop solar to take meaningful climate action. Keeping food waste out of the landfill is one of the most powerful changes nearly every household can make.
For commercial customers, we offer convenient on site food waste collection, primarily in 64 gallon two wheeled trash cans. Learn more.
For odor and fly control reasons, as well as site operational constraints, we do NOT accept food waste drop-offs from the general public. Requests for exceptions to this policy should be made via phone or email and will be considered on a case by case basis.
